Martty Martínez Fraticelli, Pharm.D.

Martty Martínez Fraticelli is President and CEO of PharmPix, the company he co-founded in 2009 on a conviction that pharmacy should function as a clinical checkpoint, not a transaction. Under his leadership, PharmPix has grown from a startup working out of a garage in Levittown, Puerto Rico, into a national pharmacy benefit manager with operations in Puerto Rico and the U.S., protecting hundreds of thousands of members and the plans behind them.

Dr. Martínez began his career as a hospital pharmacist and has held leadership roles across retail pharmacy, academia, managed care organizations, and pharmacy benefit management, including Medco Health Solutions and MMM Holdings. That experience, spanning formulary strategy, clinical program development, and pharmacy operations, shaped the question that still drives the company: not whether a claim can be processed, but whether the therapy behind it is right.

At PharmPix, he led the development of OneArk®, the company’s proprietary technology platform. Built to bring clinical intelligence into the moment a prescription is filled, OneArk® helps identify potential drug-related problems before a medication reaches the patient and before the consequences become more difficult or costly to address.

Dr. Martínez is also known for making the complex understandable. He brings clarity to complicated drug-pricing structures, benefit decisions and clinical tradeoffs, helping employers, health plans and industry partners move from data to action across commercial, Medicaid and Medicare markets.

His leadership philosophy is grounded in purpose, innovation and service. He believes technology is most valuable when it strengthens human judgment, clinical expertise matters most when it leads to action and healthcare works best when people never lose sight of the individual behind the claim.

For Dr. Martínez, the mission remains deeply personal: prevent drug-related problems before they reach the patient and build a pharmacy benefit system that protects both the people receiving care and the organizations responsible for it.
