Ivan López Javier, MBA

Ivan López Javier is co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of PharmPix, where he leads the company’s finance and accounting organization and serves as a strategic advisor to the Board of Directors and executive leadership team. From the company’s earliest days, he’s helped build the financial structure, controls and management disciplines that supported its growth from a startup into an established national pharmacy benefit manager.

Ivan oversees the financial disciplines behind drug-cost development, underwriting, rebate management, forecasting and enterprise risk. In a market where pharmacy economics can be difficult to understand, his leadership helps ensure PharmPix can stand behind its numbers—for clients evaluating a proposal, for plans measuring performance and for the long-term financial health of the company itself.

He brings more than 30 years of leadership experience across pharmacy benefit management, pharmaceutical distribution, health insurance, and hospital and medical supply operations. Before PharmPix, Ivan held senior executive and finance roles with MOVA Inter-America and Orbix Healthcare, Borschow Hospital and Medical Supply, and Physician Corporation of America/Humana. Across those organizations, he led financial planning, underwriting support, profitability improvement, business development, investment management and corporate financing.

Ivan is particularly proud that PharmPix’s financial strength has supported sustainable growth, created stability and opportunity for more than 140 employees and allowed the company to continue investing in the people, capabilities and services its clients rely on.

He believes finance should do more than report what has already happened. It should help an organization understand risk, make sound decisions and grow without losing sight of its commitments. Ivan holds an MBA in Finance, summa cum laude, from Inter American University of Puerto Rico and a BBA in Accounting, cum laude, from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus.
