Herminio J. Correa-Garcés

Herminio J. Correa-Garcés is co-founder and Chief Information Officer of PharmPix, where he leads the technology strategy, roadmap and investments behind the company’s full portfolio. From the beginning, he has helped build technology around a simple conviction: clients shouldn’t have to reshape their needs to fit someone else’s system.

That conviction is reflected in OneArk®, the proprietary platform PharmPix built and owns. Under Herminio’s leadership, technology has become more than the infrastructure behind the business. It gives PharmPix the flexibility to adapt the pharmacy benefit around each client, respond as needs change and turn clinical and operational insight into action.

Herminio approaches difficult problems with the mind of both an engineer and a scientist. He looks beyond the way a challenge has traditionally been defined, searches for the opportunity others may have missed and builds solutions that are thoughtful, efficient and designed to move with the market. For him, the strongest technology isn’t necessarily the most complicated. It’s the technology that solves the right problem with clarity and precision.

He brings more than 27 years of experience at the intersection of software engineering and healthcare. Before co-founding PharmPix, Herminio served as CIO and co-founder of Pharmacy Insurance Corporation of America and held senior roles at Advanced Computer Technology and Preferred Health Management. Across those organizations, he designed and delivered mission-critical PBM platforms, HIPAA-compliant billing and third-party administration software, eligibility and enrollment engines, and enterprise data architectures.

Herminio holds a B.S. in Natural Science with a minor in Computer Science from Metropolitan University and completed executive education in Managing Technical Professionals and Organizations at the MIT Sloan School of Management. His credentials and professional affiliations span NCPDP, ISACA, AHIMA and HIMSS.

Away from technology, Herminio is a dedicated sailor, surfer, wingfoiler and jiu-jitsu practitioner. Each discipline has shaped the way he leads: read the conditions carefully, stay composed when they change and move strategically when the right opening appears.
