Eric Frontera Zayas, PharmD, CPBS

Eric Frontera Zayas is Senior Vice President of PBM Services at PharmPix, where he oversees many of the teams responsible for delivering the pharmacy benefit every day, including clinical operations and strategy, account management, network operations, benefit design and implementation, and government programs.

A pharmacist by training, Eric brings 20 years of experience across community pharmacy, managed care, clinical account management and PBM operations. He began his career with Walmart, advancing into pharmacy management before moving into managed care as a clinical pharmacist with MMM. He later joined Elixir, where he progressed from Clinical Account Executive to Director of Clinical Accounts before joining PharmPix.

That range of experience gives Eric a holistic view of what strong PBM service requires: clinically appropriate decisions, well-run operations and teams that understand what clients are trying to accomplish. At PharmPix, he focuses on bringing those pieces together so clinical strategy translates into responsive service, effective programs and a better experience for clients and members.

Eric is especially proud of developing people and helping talented team members grow into leadership roles. His philosophy is simple: take care of the client by building teams that are knowledgeable, proactive and empowered to make good decisions, communicate clearly and follow through.

Eric holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and is a Certified Pharmacy Benefits Specialist.
